The Weekend of Celebrations

A three-day weekend is always something that most look forward to. Here's my rundown of what occured in my surprisingly pleasant weekend.

Friday 27th Nov

I was on leave to celebrate AidilAdha and with less traffic in KL, I took this chance to visit the ever hectic Digital Mall in Petaling Jaya to revive my 4-yr old 500 GB external hard drive. The 'Drs' said that she was long gone and I mourned for the next 2 minutes when the experts/techies couldn't do anything but hear the clicking noise that came out from my Black Box of storage. Songs, videos, scandalous documents that were gathered since my college days left this reality. I had the option to salvage the data but with a price of rm400 to recover the lost kilobytes. I had to pass this because there's no guarantee that all items will be recovered. For that I abandoned "Project Resuscitate HD."

On the way back to the car, the view of the rear of the old Cold Storage building which collapsed earlier this year shocked me. Notice the bulldozers and excavators trapped in this demised site.

The day concluded with good food at my aunt Maya's place for Aidil Adha.

Saturday 28th Nov

Day started late with a lot playing Pro Evolution Soccer 2009 on the Wii console. All this workout was to ready myself for the inaugural edition of FLY Club Access. The party was a great success. It was a great night where we all had fun and making new contacts. If you missed it, don't you worry. The chance to snag VVIP treatment will happen every month. We'd like to thank Mist Bangsar for the warm reception. With Double D and Premosupremo on the decks, the dance floor was oozing with sweat and love. For pics; click on this

Sunday 29th Nov

It took a whole day to recover from the previous night's escapades. When the clock struck 1159pm. The biggest BPL battle of the week took place. Arsenal vs Chelsea. Before the kick off, a sudden surge of anxiety flushed my system. My antidote: A good mug of Milo Ais. As the game progressed, I slowly dared to pry my fingers off my face. With no view obstructions, I was entertained with Chelsea's dominating play over the Gunners. With a 3-0 victory. The Mighty Blues are on the throne for now. My following artpiece commerorates this splendid weekend.

This week begins with a ultra chich BlackBerry which was agreed by our bosses to give it to listeners of Nightflight. Meet us on twitter @nightflight958. Things are more intimate and bizarre at twitteria. Let's hope for a better week ahead.

Lay down your swords and celebrate!

    Shah Alam - 22nd November, 2009

It's amazing to see announcers coming together to celebrate Radio Fest with so much camaraderie. We left our body armours and arsenal back home and danced together to the music of Suki, Pesawat, Aizat and everyone's current numero uno band: Bunkface. Pictures tell a million words.

Spot your favorite announcers from different stations.

Different backgrounds but we share the same passion. To give what you wanna hear on radio. All pics were taken by the fly-est photog out there, Khalil Makata.

Thank you for joining us on that historic day, with 5000 strong supporters; let's double that at next year's Radio Fest.

    The Angry Man

Refreshing it is to be back. During my intergalactic travel I had when I was on leave, I met a lot interesting individuals who are rich with mind puzzling cultures. Here are some new friends who I know can't keep in touch with because they don't have FB/twitter.

Renaldoo; pronounced as Ruh-Nahl-do-Ohh, a very efficient informative tour guide. He speaks 433 languages including Hakka and the Kelantanese dialect. Our trip was a five star experience thanks to him.

Mrs Toothnosed; such a warm loving person. She was kind enough to let us stay at her place for a week when we ran out of Stellar Coins. She reminds me so much of our people. If you do stop by at Planet Molarazoorah at Galaxy Mutarion, you have to try her Sup Kambing. Simply out of this world.

Melvis Nesli; I bumped into our cab driver when we were Coral tasting in the Oceans of Sho-ko-lat, planet Szema. I was shocked when he said that Earthians react like that when they see him. He hates being called Elvis. But he secretly listens to Mr Presley's music to sleep.

Kurt-Tas; this guy hails from the 1Plane Planet where everything is 2D. The picture above was taken when we before we met. He always wanted more in his life. Being able to seen from all angles is his goal and he dreamnt of being the most famous person in the universe' history. As he was pursuing his dream, a fellow 1Plane-ian made it big. I'm sure you met him.

When this video premiered at home, Kurt was furious. He wanted to make history, he wanted to be the first to achieve greatness and glory but someone beat him to it. Legends at his home planet say that to make your wishes come true, you have to chew the leaf of the Tree of Dreams. He embarked on this journey equipped with his above than normal intelligence, Kurt found the Tree in the matter of days.

As he approached the beautiful majestic tower of leaves and branches that would materialize his dreams of being bigger, famous and strong; a stench interrupted his pace. He gazed towards the source and under the tree shade, laid a dragon  who was fiddling with flames.

    Kurt   :  Who are you?

Dragon: I am Warning. The Dragon.

Kurt  : I know you're a dragon. What are you doing here?

Dragon: I work as Warn-er. So dude, don't chew the leaf. The affects varies with different people. It might not be what you wish for.

    Kurt  : That's a risk I'm willing to take.

Not dissuaded, Kurt reached over and grabbed a Leaf of Wishes.

With no hesitations, he chewed on it and waited for the magic to happen. ...3 secs..4..5....8...........22 secs. POOF!

And that is how Kurt reached into my hands. Now the protector of this Lassi Mixer. His life didn't happen as he expected but he is content. And now he is much happier with every visitor that drops by this page will make his fame increase per click.  A very intriguing tale and travelling helped me enrich my knowledge of others. So when was your last trip?

p/s: Arigato Amrita and Jules for introducing Kurt to me. The world will enjoy his concoctions.
