Friends come and go but the true ones stay on. They will accept any flaws that you portray and try their very best to live with the things that might irk them. But never take them for granted for they have hearts too. I thought I had this friend who would stay with me til my dying day but I was mistaken, one occurrence changed this friend to foe instantaneously.



Ayam was introduced to us and we welcomed him to the family with overflowing love. He is never the outspoken one, always reserving his comments and making statements only when needed to and often precisely at the perfect moments. 'He's a man of few words but bountiful wisdom,' says Nadia.



To me, he is the ultimate listener to your problems. Never judges you. Whatever you tell him, shocks him even though if you re-tell your story for the 50th time; he will listen with undying enthusiasm. His background is pretty vague and I never got the chance to delve deeper about his past. He left the farm and came to the city where FLY became his home. A very talented and bright individual, he showcased his talents on different musical instruments.



Singing while playing the drums is his forte. Impressed, I've never had a friend from the bird family who is that multi-talented and could click with me in an instant. I would make him my bestman if only we were still friends. I made the huge mistake, an irreversible one. I should be more sensitive.



Shocked and disgusted by my act of eating his fellow species, I was axed from his Twitter/Facebook/'Top 10 friends I would let incubate my eggs' lists. Life has been bleaker since.
