The nagging old Grandma Never Stops yelling at the children who steal her candy
It’s been 10 years since they first saw the one-sided couple that influenced them on a bus ride. I never got around to asking them if this story was true. Some say it’s a rumour but I always thought it was a great story. Eavesdropping!! Who ever thought the name Love Me Butch would come from something like that. But once again this is only a rumour that I have yet to confirm. Apparently, two girls were arguing and the name was heard when one said it to another. A great band was born. They are still foreign to many but I would say that they are among the best bands not only in Malaysia but also South East Asia. They’ve released two studio albums so far and both had many tracks that are fan favourites. Ok, I will agree that some may not be able to digest the sound of LMB but all you need is a few listens.  They create music that sounds better and better the more you listen to it. 
I got the news only a few days ago. LMB is very popular in Philippines and frequent the country regularly for shows. Around 3 months ago Meng (the guitarist of LMB - http://www.myspace.com/lovemebutch) had a jam session with Mong Alcaraz (Guitarist of Chicosci (http://www.myspace.com/chicoscikills) – A very popular local Pilipino band) and came up with an idea of a new song and that’s when the party started. It took three months to complete as the bands live in two different countries. LMB would record their parts here and send it to Philippines for Chicosci to record their parts and this back and forth process was going on for the three months until they were happy with the result. It is currently on heavy rotation in Philippines on radio stations like Nu107FM, Home of New Rock. “They play ours songs so much there that there was once when we were playing at a certain area for the first time, the crowd really surprised us because they were singing along to all the songs!!” Meng – Guitarist of Love Me Butch.
