After a few days of teasing, rapper Nicki Minaj has finally revealed the "really pretty" guest on her new single: Cassie, also known as the model-turned-singer often spotted on Diddy's arm, sings the chorus on Nicki's latest track. Minaj couldn't have found a more perfect woman to deliver the line, "The boys always spendin' all their money on love," except maybe Kim Kardashian. Oh wait.
It's nice to hear Nicki outsourcing the sugary pop hooks for once, given her recent foray into dance-driven club hits. The verses on "The Boys" aren't exactly a return to the occasionally brutal rhymes she showcased on her mixtapes, but they're a closer approximation of hip-hop than most of Minaj's recent singles. And yes, the fans are pleased.
"The Boys" is the lead single off of Pink Friday Roman Reloaded: The Re-Up, a reissue of Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded, which is due in November (just in time for Christmas, y'all). We're eagerly awaiting Minaj's next release, which will probably be titled something like Pink Friday Roman Reloaded: The Re-Up One More Time.
