Usher originally hoped to release it in October 2007;it finally saw its release on May 27th, 2008.The album's cover shows a license plate 1126, the date of his son's birth.

Songs for the album have been recorded with Jermaine Dupri, Dre & Vidal,Timbaland and Polow da Don.

In an April appearance on MTV's TRL, Usher stated that Beyoncé and Jay-Z will both appear on his album.Beyonce is featured in the album's second single, "Love in This Club, Part II", while Jay-Z will appear in "Best Thing". Dupri also talked about the album: "Usher's album is more about teaching men [that] at some point, you gotta grow up. And growing up is respecting a woman and having a woman in your life and taking care of your woman. That's his definition of growing up."

Usher's previous album, Confessions, shares its title with the famous book by womanising Augustine. Here I Stand are similarly famous words attributed to Martin Luther King Jr..

VH1 was given a preview of the album and added summaries of each song to its blog. Usher performed "Love in This Club" live for the first time in the U.S. at the after-party for the season finale of MTV's "The Hills". He was joined onstage by Young Jeezy. He also performed "Love in This Club" live on the season finale of "Dancing With the Stars" without Young Jeezy.

He also appeared on the season finale of Saturday Night Live on May 17, 2008, performing "This Ain't Sex" and "Love in This Club". Usher performed at Radio 1's Big Weekend at Mote Park in the U.K. on Saturday, May 10. Usher is scheduled to perform on the "BET Awards 2008" in Los Angeles on June 24th.

MuchMusic was given the rights to stream Here I Stand a full week before it hits stores. According to building chart data, the album, despite being on track to top the Billboard 200, will achieve first week sales that are not even within fifty percent of the debut figure for "Confessions." The album had sold 267,000 in the first three days; first week sales could top those of "E=MC²."

It Is Time For A Love Revolution

Distributed : EMI

That freedom is the fire inside It Is Time For A Love Revolution, which is sonically and spiritually as vibrant as Kravitz's debut album, Let Love Rule.  Regarded as one of the great rock musicians of our time, Lenny Kravitz has achieved tremendous critical acclaim and commercial success with a succession of groundbreaking album releases, multiple # 1 singles on the Billboard Top Singles charts and an unparalleled collection of awards from throughout his career, including GRAMMYs, American Music Awards and MTV Video Music Awards. Written and recorded over the course of the last year, in various locations from New York to Miami, Paris, the Bahamas and Brazil, It Is Time For A Love Revolution holds up as one of the Kravitz’s best albums with its raucous rock 'n roll jams, heavy drums, tight hip-shaking grooves, frenetic guitars and Kravitz’s unmistakable croon.

Featuring 14 new songs, the album once again finds the multi-instrumentalist writing, producing, arranging and playing all the tracks on the album, which he has done on all of his releases throughout his career.  As the album title indicates, Kravitz sings songs of love and spiritual revolution, calling on people to open up and let love in their hearts. He also isn't afraid to get political, using his music to draw attention to the current US war in Iraq and the Vietnam era. From the above mentioned singles “Bring It On” and “I’ll Be Waiting,” as well as “Love, Love, Love,” “Dancin’ Til Dawn,” and  “I Want To Go Home,” It Is Time For A Love Revolution represents the characteristics that has made Kravitz a vital musician for 18 years.

Growing Pains

Her latest, Growing Pains, positions the singer once again as a woman both searching and instructing: Whereas the average R&B groove asks you to shake what your mama gave you, Blige wants you not only to shake it but to feed it, love it — and maybe put a fierce wig on it.

Modern Minds And Pastimes

Distributed : Warner Music Malaysia

MODERN MINDS AND PASTIMES was produced by Mike Denneen (Fountains Of Wayne, Aimee Mann) which include the infectious first single, “Jenny,” that have been receiving amazing air and video play on both radio and TV stations.

The Click Five are at their best when they're at their silliest or at their most melodic, as on the over-stuffed yet sleek "Happy Birthday" giving way to the glorious, ridiculous "Headlight Disco" (its title gives away exactly what kind of retro-pastiche this is), running through the surging "I'm Getting Over You" (the best anthem they have here, because the chorus glides by on a big hook) and ending with "Jenny," a fantastic pop rock tune. This is genuinely fun pop rock, a ray of sunshine compared to the stylized murk that comprises the rest of the album as the Click Five work an '80s revivalism that's big on texture but not hooks.

Beyond The Neighbourhood

Distributed : EMI

Athlete release their third album on Parlophone on September 3rd entitled, ‘Beyond The Neighbourhood’.

'Beyond The Neighbourhood' is a record of true progression and real quality. The album was recorded in the band’s own studio in South East London without the services of a producer. Recording in their own studio meant it gave them the freedom to experiment and as such the album glows with a newfound musical confidence, it’s self produced songs showing big leaps in terms of ambition, scope and creativity.

'Beyond The Neighbourhood' has a noticeable sonic skip in its stride, as evidenced by the stomping first single 'Hurricane' out on August 27th.The album further establishes Joel Pott as a lyricist of rare imagination and insight. Following 'Hurricane', the stomping 'Tokyo' offers a tail of hypocrisy and the human condition; the claustrophobic 'Airport Disco' imagines a future where airports are used as nightclubs because flying is banned; and the breakbeat-driven 'It's Not Your Fault' finds hope in tragedy. That brings us to the gorgeous but biting 'The Outsiders' which, as Pott wryly puts it, "is about being English"; the skittering electro lullaby 'Flying Over Bus Stops', which is surely the most romantic song ever to be set on a London night bus; and the anthemic 'Second Hand Stores', a song inspired by a story Pott read about nature falling out of synch with itself.

The album draws to a close with 'In The Library', which is about "growing up and taking responsibility for yourself" and the tragic 'Best Not To Think About It', which Pott wrote after watching 'Falling Man', the documentary about those who jumped from the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001. The final song is the heart-tearing 'This Is What I Sound Like', a track inspired by one of the Israeli agents in Spielberg's 'Munich' film. "It's about being confused," says Pott. "Not knowing whether you're a good or bad person, or what you're doing is right or wrong. It's really a summing up of the whole album."

Beautiful Girls

Beautiful Girls
"Beautiful Girls" is a song by reggae-influenced musician Sean Kingston from his eponymous debut and parody of the song "Beautiful Boys" sung by Taranee Cook. The song heavily samples Ben E. King's classic "Stand By Me".
The song is about women and how they can make a man suicidal when they decide a relationship is over. Certain radio stations play the censored version of the song, which replaces the word "suicidal" with "in denial". On MTV the word suicidal is completely removed with no replacement. Lil' Mama, Lil' JJ, Marlon Wayans and Brandon T. Jackson make cameo appearances.

Album: Things Happen For A Reason

Distributed : EMI

The 24-year-old CHE’NELLE, born in Sabah, Malaysia of combined Malaysian, Indian and Dutch parentage, developed her singing in her dad’s karaoke bar, and on the local Perth, Australia club scene, where she first encountered hip-hop music in her teens.

In a Cinderella story that’s undeniably a sign of the post-2K times, it was her array of home-studio demos, pictures and local club flyers posted on her MySpace page that drew the attention of American DJ veteran Sir Charles Dixon. Through Dixon’s introduction, she was signed to the roster of the then-Virgin Records by Capitol Music Group Chairman and CEO Jason Flom, greatly impressed by how much and how well she’d written and produced on her own. Paired to co-write with such worldwide hit makers as Sean Garrett and James Poyser, CHE’NELLE more than proved herself, holding her own with the most successful pop and urban producers in music and turning in an album of pure pleasure.

CHE’NELLE’s album THINGS HAPPEN FOR A REASON will be released September 25th 2007

Album: Paper Walls

Distributed : EMI

Breakthrough rockers Yellowcard return with new album Paper Walls on July 17th, the third in a trilogy of albums that includes 2006’s gold-certified Lights and Sounds and their 2003 smash, Ocean Avenue.  The band will join the 2007 Vans Warped Tour from June 29 – July 19, with more summer live dates to be announced soon.  A full list of confirmed tour dates is below.
Yellowcard emerged from Jacksonville, Florida with a completely infectious and original blend of rock, punk and classical (owing to violinist Sean Mackin) that made them a sure thing to break out of the pack, but even the band could not have imagined how far.
Album-opener “The Takedown” starts with a shot – an indelible guitar hook and ferocious drums charge forth as Yellowcard’s trademark mix of airtight vocal harmonies, entwined guitar lines and flourishes of violin crackle with energy.  “Fighting” brings together the band’s many strengths – tight, melodic, propulsive riffs gather steam before launching into an epic, undeniable chorus.

Lead single “Light Up the Sky” has an even more massive payoff, its refrain won’t leave your head in this lifetime, but allows for some ringing dissonance beneath it all.  “Dear Bobbie” is a sweet, wistful ode featuring Key’s real-life grandfather reading a love letter to his wife of 58 years. “Shadows and Regrets” fades in as a gorgeous ballad before chimes and sweeping strings elevate the song’s stunning melody to great heights.  And album-closing title track “Paper Walls” starts with an angelic female choir and simple, strummed guitar before it too takes flight with buzzing guitars and a surging chorus that grips until the final chord.

Album: Don't You Fake It

Distributed : EMI

Red Jumpsuit Apparatus hail from Middleburg, Florida. The band comprises Elias Reidy, guitar/vocals; Duke Kitchens, guitar/vocals; Joey Westwood, bass/vocals; and Jon Wilkes, Drums/vocals.

‘Don’t You Fake It’, their debut album, has to date sold over half a million copies in the U.S. The album’s songs are flush with the determination, hunger and energy of youth (the average age in the band is 21).  And while they tap into elements of pop-punk, pop, screamo, and metal, they combine them in a way that’s both surprising and invigorating.

In addition to being musically adventurous, the band don’t shy away from confessional, confrontational lyrics.  The cantankerous ‘Seventeen Ain’t So Sweet’ addresses a female friend who has an amazing voice but has been unable to make a dent in the music industry because she doesn’t look like a plastic pop idol, and the reflective, flowing Your Guardian Angel’ shows Winters letting down his guard and trying to express what it really feels like to be in love. But it’s ‘Face Down’, a scathing indictment of domestic abuse, which makes the most emotional impact.

30 Seconds To Mars :: A Beautiful Lie
Brought to you by : EMI
Artist: 30 Seconds To Mars
Album: A Beautiful Lie

Distributed : EMI

30 Seconds to Mars' self-titled 2002 debut established the group as fresh, new force, revealing a multi-faceted outfit that thrived on creative exploration and escape. And for their follow-up, A Beautiful Lie, frontman Jared Leto wanted to explore an entirely new, far more confessional sonic landscape.

A Beautiful Lie
, is more personal and less cerebral approach. Although this record is full of conceptual elements and thematic ideas it is ultimately much more wrapped around the heart than the head. It's about brutal honesty, growth, change. It's an incredibly intimate look into a life that is in the crossroads. A raw emotional journey. A story of life, love, death, pain, joy, and passion. Of what it is to be human.

In addition to being more lyrically direct, A Beautiful Lie has undergone a musical transformation as well. Progressive, multi-tracked passages have been replaced by leaner and far more impacting constructs and some of the eclecticism has been focused in order to compliment the honesty of the songwriting.

For their last album, 30 Seconds to Mars, entered the studio with legendary producer Bob Ezrin. This time, they recruited Josh Abraham, who produced the Grammy award winning Velvet Revolver record. 30 Seconds to Mars began in April 2004 and worked on and off in six different studios before finishing the album. Jared credits Abraham for expediting the process.

30 Seconds to Mars wrote 40 songs for A Beautiful Lie before paring it down to the 10 that appear on the album. Making the cuts wasn't only difficult, it was emotionally draining. It wasn't a case of Jared being unable to toss his babies into the sea, it was more a matter of the singer prematurely throwing away too many of his offspring. At one point or another, he scrapped, "The Kill," "From Yesterday," "The Story" and even "Attack."
