Katy Perry reveals new single 'The One That Got Away' artwork
The singer will release 'The One That Got Away' as the sixth cut to be lifted from her Teenage Dream album. The star will hope to break a record set by Michael Jackson and matched by herself earlier this year.
Perry and Jackson have had five number one singles on the US Hot 100 from a single album and the former could break that record if her new effort hits the top spot. The 26-year old performer recently explained her reasons for choosing 'The One That Got Away' as a contender to break the record.
She explained: "I'm so pleased to select 'The One That Got Away' as my sixth single because this song shows a very different side of me that I haven't shown with my past singles on this record." Her previous five singles from Teenage Dream - 'California Gurls', 'Teenage Dream', 'Firework', 'E.T.' and 'Last Friday Night (TGIF)' - have all hit the top of the US charts.
The video shoot for the single will take place in the coming days.
