With all the uncertainty going on in the world today (due to Coronavirus Covid-19), entertainment industries are getting more and more creative!
Following the footsteps of TV shows like The Late Late Show With James Corden, The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Jimmy Kimmel Live! and SNL- moving their entire show to digital platform and airing episodes from their homes- ‘American Idol’ Season 18 is the latest show to gear into filming remotely from their homes.
The show will continue on with all stay at home guidelines. Judges and hosts of the show including Katy Perry, Lionel Richie, Luke Bryan, Bobby Bones and Ryan Seacrest will all be working from the comfort of their homes. The top 20 contestant will also be performing from their own homes, and viewers can keep voting from their homes.
‘American Idol’ Season 18 will return on April 26 (Sunday) for a two-hour show.
Katy Perry explains on Twitter “How will American Idol continue? I’ll be judging from California, Lionel Richie from LA, Luke Bryan & Bobby Bones in Nashville. Ryan Seacrest will host from Cali! Contestants perform at their house! America will VOTE from HOME and choose a WINNER!”
