Ever since its release, ‘Euphoria’ has been a hot topic. The series has been described as:
“Though at times hard to watch, Euphoria balances its brutal honesty with an empathetic – and visually gorgeous – eye to create a uniquely challenging and illuminating series, held together by a powerfully understated performance from Zendaya.”
Fronted by Zendaya as ‘Rue’ – a recovering teenage addict struggling to find her place in the world – the show has expanded from its original 8 episode run to include “specials”. The upcoming special is highlight anticipated by fans of the series, as it sees a shift of focus from Rue to her on-again/off-again fling, Jules (played by Hunter Schafer). Titled, “F*** Anyone Who’s Not A Sea Blob”, HBO has described the special as one that will “follow Jules over the Christmas holiday as she reflects on the year”.
And, as if the premise wasn’t electrifying enough, it was revealed that this emotionally heavy episode will feature a song made in collaboration by none other than Billie Eilish and Rosalía.

The track titled ‘Lo Vas A Olvidar (You Will Forget Her)’ is one that has been rumoured to be in the works for years now, with Rosalía herself telling Apple Music’s Zane Low in April last year that:
“I think it’s getting quite close… I finished the arrangements. I feel like the production, the sound design is almost done, so I just need Billie to send the vocals and they send me the ideas that they want to add because we are there.”
On her part, Eilish gushed about the El Mal Querer singer and working with her, telling Fader:
“She knows what she wants, it’s very refreshing….I was like, ‘wow, you’re the only person I’ve met who’s really like this. [She’s] the nicest girl, oh my god.”
This is not the first time that either Eilish or Rosalía will feature in the series, with Eilish’s “you should see me in a crown” and, incidentally, Rosalía’s “Malamente (Cap.1: Augurio)” both featured in the fifth episode of the first season. Was this the spark that ignited the flame, a brilliant attempt at foreshadowing or a mere coincidence? Well, either way, we’re grateful we get to hear both award-winning artists on the same track! What’s more, we hear Eilish signing in Spanish following Rosalía’s opening line:
“Dime si me echas de meno’ aún” (“Tell me if you still miss me”)
“Dime si no me perdonas aún” (“Tell me if you still don’t forgive me”)
As for how the dreamy, slow-tempo will fit with the intense new episode of ‘Euphoria’, HBO has released a trailer with the beautiful song:
