Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez, who have been together since  2017, have called off their engagement.

In a statement to TODAY, both of them revealed in an exclusive joint statement saying,

“We have realized we are better as friends and look forward to remaining so. We will continue to work together and support each other on our shared businesses and projects. We wish the best for each other and one another’s children. Out of respect for them, the only other comment we have to say is thank you to everyone who has sent kind words and support.”

About a month ago, multiple sources confirmed to E! News that the Hollywood couple has called off their engagement nearly two years after a romantic proposal, that had every woman around the world wish they were J.Lo. However, the rose coloured glasses have come off for the singer, in fact, as insiders close to the duo say J.Lo decided to end things for a variety of reasons.

However, multiple resources told TODAY that at the time of the rumours, the singer and the former baseball slugger “never officially broke up”.

But very recently, a series of selfies from Lopez from the set of her new movie “Shotgun Wedding” sent the media into a frenzy when they noticed her ring was missing from her finger.

While we are devastated to hear that the lovely couple has ended their relationship for real this time, we are happy to see that they have decided to remain friends. Sometimes, things just don’t work out and it’s not anybody’s fault.
