K-POP FANS! BTS Is Collaborating With Your Favourite Fast Food Joint

Are you a fan of BTS and McDonalds? Well, the latter doesn’t have to be asked. Who DOESN’T like Mcdonald?! Well, the K-Pop mega group and fast food joint have joined forces to launch an exclusive menu that will hit Malaysian stores on the 26th of May. Although you may not be able to see BTS in concert anytime soon, McDonald’s is preparing to bring the group in the form of an exclusive ‘tour’ meal to nearly 50 countries. This tour kicks of on the 26th of May and Malaysia has been selected as one of the first few stops, including the US, Canada and Austria.

 

McDonald’s released an official poster through their Twitter account showing the dates of the tour and countries involved.

 

They also posted a teaser video on their TikTok account:

This BTS Meal will include nine pieces of Chicken McNuggets, a large World Famous Fries, a large drink and a South Korean McDonald’s inspired sweet chilli and cajun dipping sauce respectively. BTS’ label Bighit Music said:

 

“The band has great memories with McDonald’s. We’re excited about this collaboration and can’t wait to share the BTS Meal with the world,”

BTS has always been a fan of McDonald’s. The group is occasionally seen having a meal at the fast-food branch during tours, filming and on breaks. J-hope, Suga and V even own some McDonald’s merch. So it’s safe to say that this collaboration is approved. Many brands very much want to collaborate with BTS, but the ‘K-Pop army’ knows that the group only connects with brands that they personally like or whose message and ideas suit them. BTS has bagged countless awards for their work over the years, including 33 Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA), 29 Melon Music Awards and 24 Golden Disk Awards.

The group is a top perform K-Pop icon with millions of fans worldwide. This McDonald’s collaboration can be seen as a way to interact with fan across the world as concerts seem out of the question at this moment in time.
