If you need more proof that Lizzo is a literal Musical Goddess – we have it right here! The 32-year-old singer has showed off her pipes and teased what seems to be a riff off a new song in a 30-second TikTok. The almost-ethereal note that the Detroit singer pulls off is… just… magic.

This is great news for fans of the singer, who hasn’t released new music since she dropped her Grammy-winning debut album ‘Cuz I Love You’ in April of 2019. It was the same year that her 2017 track ‘Truth Hurts’ blew up and marked the start of her reign in the music industry. Earlier this year, fellow trailblazer SZA revealed that she had actually heard some of Lizzo’s new music and tweeted her reaction:

“Lizzo really jus played me the best song I ever heard in my life I’m crying lmao like really.”

However, the fluitist has yet to confirm when we’ll get to hear the follow up to ‘Cuz I Love You’. With the singer set to be the first woman to headline Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival in its almost decade long history, maybe we’ll be seeing the album – or at least, a single or two – before then? The festival, scheduled for 2nd September this year, will see Lizzo take the stage alongside the Foo Fighters, Megan the Stallion, Tame Impala, Tyler, the Creator and Lana Del Rey.

At the same time, the ‘Hustler’ actress is set to produce her own reality TV show for “big girls”.

The “Truth Hurts” and “Because I Love You” singer has signed on to develop a yet-to-be-titled unscripted series for Amazon. The show will follow Lizzo on her continued search for talented, curvaceous women to join her entourage and perform with her on stage. The Grammy-winning artists is also set to produce the series, which according to the casting call, is looking for “full-figured dancers and models who have for far too long been underrepresented and under-appreciated.”
