Cardi B ain’t got time for them haters – so much so that she’s deactivated (let’s not believe she’s ACTUALLY gotten rid of something she’s so active on) her Twitter account.
Cardi “Bacardi” B has had a rollercoaster of a month – her and Megan Thee Stallion’s smash-hit, “WAP”, has been topping charts and she’s just celebrated her 28th birthday in style. However, it hasn’t been all fun and games. A few weeks ago, Cardi announced that she was divorcing her husband ( fellow rapper Offset) of three years. Since then, fans have been left in both confusion and concern as, despite the announcement of the split, the couple were seen getting cosy together at her birthday party.
At the time, Cardi explained during an Instagram live that she’d gone through “a spell” of Offset getting on her nerves, and explained why she decided to take him back. Ultimately, she started missing him and this, she wanted to give their marriage a second (more like, third or fourth by now) chance. Following this, fans took to Twitter to call out Cardi for taking back someone who has cheated on her multiple times in the past, going so far as to accuse Offset of “manipulating” her. Well, Cardi isn’t taking the accusations, trolling and criticism any longer.
During an Instagram Live session over the weekend, the 28-year-old Bronx talent shared her stance on why she made the decision to leave Twitter. Voicing her frustration, she shared that she had had enough of the barrage of criticism over her decisions related to her marriage. Disparaging the “bunch of 15-year-olds telling [her] how to live her] life like [she’s] m************ Ariana Grande or something,” Cardi ranted:
“I’m so tired that because of y’all I’ve gotta continuously explain myself. I didn’t put my divorce out there, a f****** court clerk put it out there. And because people are making rumours up, ‘Oh, this guy has a girl pregnant,’ this and that, I have to address it. Offset is not the only f***** problem that I deal with. To be honest with you, my marriage is one of the least worries that I have right now.”
She went on to slam trolls who were attacking Offset, stating:
“You guys want to be harassing this n****. Bro, if I work things out, why are you going to this n****’s Twitter to harass him? That s*** don’t make no f****** sense,”
Cardi, who shares 2-year-old Kulture with Offset, clarified that while she loves and is grateful for her fans, she is also tired of those that act like they’re the ones in a relationship with her.
“I be doing the same s**** that the other people f****** do but then y’all want to call yourself fans, I don’t give a f***. I’m tired of it.”
Yikes. Well, let’s hope the trolls take note of this and give the woman some space.
