Now that was a ride!
The final episode of one of the hottest Korean drama starring the handsome Song Joong Ki and the gorgeous Jeon Yeo Bin has gained the highest viewership ratings for the show’s entire run. And why wouldn’t it — especially after that explosive ending (don’t worry, this is a spoiler-free article).
According to Nielsen Korea, the series finale of ‘Vincenzo’ scored an average nationwide rating of 14.6 per cent and a peak of 16.2 per cent. This puts them in the number one spot in their time slot across all channels including public broadcast networks. That’s *fireeeeeeeeee*.
Not only did the ratings represent a new personal record for the series but it also made ‘Vincenzo’ the drama with the sixth-highest ratings in tvN history, beaten only ‘Crash Landing on You’, ‘Goblin’, ‘Reply 1988’, ‘Mr. Sunshine’, and ‘Mr. Queen’. Yep, only the royalties of K-drama right there!
On the other hand, KBS 2TV’s ‘Revolutionary Sisters’ also soared to new levels in viewership. The latest episode of the Korean hit drama managed to score average nationwide ratings of 24.7 per cent and 28.1 per cent, marking a new record for the show’s highest ratings to date. Congratulations to the cast and crew of ‘Vincenzo’ for their great work (and for filling the void in our lives for 20 whole episodes)! While we are sad to say goodbye to these characters, we cannot wait to see what’s to come looming on the horizon.
