If you’re planning for your next makeup-shopping haul, look no further. There are numerous Malaysian cosmetic manufacturers that offer similar, decent quality items as internationals. Not to mention, most of them are also vegan, cruelty-free, halal-certified and even wudhu-compliant. Check out some of our favourite local beauty products we love:
1. SO.LEK Cosmetics
Created by siblings, Dahlia Nadirah and Luqman Hakim—the makeup brand came about when Dahlia visited local pharmacies in New York City and she noticed how reasonably priced they are without jeopardising the quality of the products. SO.LEK has quite an array of products, from lipstick to nail polishes.
