Not to mention when finally the calendar creeps on us and happens to land on a day like February 14th. However don’t lose hope, just because you’re in a LDR during Valentine’s Day doesn’t mean the occasion has to be less exciting and romantic.

I now it cant beat being there physically net to your person but unfortunately thanks to a global pandemic and your personal circumstances, almost everyone is kind of in a LDR right now and because of that new fun and exciting ways have come about, for instance tons and tons of virtual date options for you and your partner to reignite the flame.

Journaling has proven multiple times to be a therapeutic tool, and especially useful for couples in a LDR. Let me tell you why, journaling and expressing how you feel with your partner is vital in maintaining a connection. If this sounds like your thing, try journaling and checking in with your partner this V-day—especially if there’s distance between you two.

2. Watch a movie/show at the same time during a video call

This is such a fun way to still maintain communication through text or video call with your SO and at the same time you can get all their juicy reactions. To take it up a notch try eating the same snacks to make it feel like you are really together in person. Netflix’s Party feature, could go a long way with a LDR, which basically lets you watch simultaneously with someone without having to sync up together manually or physically.

3. Play an interactive card game together

Even if it is from just your bedroom window, however I do realise that different time zones may apply to some couples, share your sunset/sunrise with them through video and vice versa.

5. Deliver them their favorite meal

If you’re not the best at cooking, you still deserve to have a virtual dinner date! So do the net best thing and that is punch in their address on a food delivery app and surprise your partner by sending their fave meal. Nothing says love like a good burger.

6. Mail them a letter instead of a text on V-Day

Sometimes a little creativity is needed when contact between you two is unfortunately down to communication over the phone or computer, switching it up can be a little tricky. Hence why spice it up by sending your significant other love letters  in the mail. Receiving mail that isn’t a bill these days is rare, which will make your love note even more meaningful and fun to receive on a special day.

7. Mail them a care package of all their favorite things

Fill a box for your care package with a few of their ultimate favorite things, it could be sweets that only you can get from a local shop at your place or a few of your items with a fresh spray of the signature scent you use.
