“I mean, How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days is teed up, you know, teed up for one that you could easily do a sequel,” he said, according to People. “And that was a really good one. As far as romantic comedies go, that was a really good one.” The 51-years-actor continued, “People still love that one. I enjoyed that one quite a bit.”

A while back, the movie heroine, Kate Hudson revealed “I’ve always thought about what Matthew and I’s characters would be now, if we were still together. It’s actually probably a good amount of time [that has passed] to make a movie about it.” She also offered some thoughts on what could go on in the film, “We probably would have gotten married with kids. We’re probably miserable right now!” She joked.

Back in July, the actress got us reminiscing as she posted a clip of the iconic love fern scene on Instagram, captioned: “Heard it was #TakeYourPlantForAWalkDay so clearly I thought of one of my favourite co-stars… #TheLoveFern”, to which Matthew responded with: “Hate to see you leave, but love to watch you go.”

For those who haven’t seen the original 2003 film, please stop what you are doing. And go watch. the. movie. like. right. now—How to Lose a Guy In 10 Days follows journalist Andie Anderson and advertising executive Benjamin Barry. Both single, both trying to prove their worth to their bosses via obscure method.

While Andie is tasked with writing a piece on how to get a guy to break up with you in ten days, Ben is posed with the opposite challenge of getting a girl to fall in love with him in ten days—a challenge he dubs as easy. As you can imagine, quite the chaotic journey ensues between the pair. It’s not only charming and hilarious, but also contains some of our favourite rom-com fashion moments ever.
