Well, to be precise, he’s *older* than her dad.

And I ooop.

Matthew Perry – who was 51 at the time- has been outed for matching with a girl on Raya…when she was 19. Inspired by another viral video recently shared on TikTok by a user named Nivine Jay, Kate Haralson decided to share her experience of matching with the hit-sitcom star of ‘Friends.’

She said that Perry asked to move their conversations from Raya to FaceTime almost immediately after matching. Following that, Perry then proceeded to suggest they play “20 questions” to get to know each other better – which Haralson made clear in an interview – was kept innocent. However, she did feel a little “weird” regarding their age gap.

“It kind of felt weird talking to someone my dad’s age and it just felt not right, especially when he knew how young I was,” said the LA-based blonde beauty.

Perry even asked her at one point,

“Am I as old as your dad?”

The now 20 years old celebrity assistant added that she and Perry never actually met up in person because she simply wasn’t interested, despite him allegedly suggesting,

“Maybe one day you can get a COVID test and come over.”

Haralson said she had matched with other celebrities before but wouldn’t “ever talk to older guys”. She only made an exception for Perry because she thought it “would be funny.”

She shared the footage on TikTok with a caption that said, “When you match w Matthew Perry as a joke on a dating app and he facetimes you and plays 20 questions with you,” but had a change of heart and took it down within 24 hours because she “did feel a little bit bad,” and that Perry really was a “nice guy.”

“A lot of people were saying I’m a bully and mean for posting this, and it made me feel kind of bad, but at the same time, I feel like a lot of guys in Hollywood are talking to all these young girls and it’s something that I think a lot of people should be aware of.”

While thankfully nothing horrible transpired between the two, we need to keep an eye out on grooming issues that are prevalent not only in the industry but all over the world.
