With MCO being implemented and we’re stuck at home, it’s no brainer that our communication skills have taken a back seat. Has your communication with your friends and families gotten better or worse?

In this episode of #TerkiniwithNandini Fly’s AM Mayhem and Nandini discuss if MCO has worsen or bettered our communication skills?

Nandini and Fly’s AM Mayhem debate to see who’s communication skills have gotten better during the MCO, as some of their personal relationships have take a toll only because of the lack of effort factor as well as isolation has become the new norm.

However, they both agree that in terms of work, communication has been at it’s best. Co workers have been conveying their messages clearly to keep everyone updated and that’s a great pro!

“So for work there has been a lot of transparency and I love it! MCO has made me very happy because now everyone has to tell everybody what are they doing at work but, on a personal level communication has kind of like “ehhh” with a lot of friends and family cause everything is digital right and I’m more of an in real life person, in that sense I”m not loving it.” -Nandini

“Friends who i used to see every weekend that is kind of diminishing day by day. Everyone is just being self isolated.” – Guibo

RD however has found that he is a lot more social during MCO!

“I’m the complete opposite as Guibo, my social skills have actually increased because of MCO. Now that we’re at home all the time I have no excuse, my phone is right there.” – RD

The debate remains that communication is less genuine among loved ones and friends because there’s less effort involved.

“So you know he’s only doing it because he’s bored! So I feel like communication and conversation becomes less genuine because the effort is less, you don’t have to work for it, you don’t have go out and drive.

So previously if you were to do that, means you really do want to see your friends and you really want to go and do that things. Now you are just like whatever, very like nak tak nak!” – Nandini

In conclusion, it’s the perfect time to evaluate the people around you and rethink the relationships in your life.  Also don’t forget to contribute and ease the burden of the frontliners by #stayathome but if you have funds to spare please don’t forget the less fortunate #kitajagakita.
