Zendaya is meant to be an Emmy-winning actress.
This weekend, the 24-year-old actress made record-breaking history by becoming the youngest female to ever win a Primetime Emmy for best lead actress in a drama for her performance in the TV show Euphoria. Some don’t realize that it took hard work and perseverance to get to where she is today. Let’s take a walk down memory lane shall we, the actress began her acting career where dreams come true, Disney Channel, it would have been easy for Zendaya to stick to ‘safe’ child-friendly roles but Euphoria gave her an opportunity to try something out of the box and challenging.
In the HBO series, she plays Rue, a 17-year-old whose young years have been mired by drug abuse and rehab. Surrounded by her peers who are all battling their own demons, and trying to survive the wrath of High school.
