On September 7, the 26 years old singer took to his Instagram account to unveil his brand new ink—located on the right side of his neck, alongside his ‘’Patience’’ tattoo. He captioned the video “@_dr_woo_ thank you for the [rose,]”, which was followed by a small video of the actual tattooing process, and a third look at the ink via a good ol’ selfie.

However, while the majority of his fans love the sight of his new tattoos addition, there is one person who isn’t as enthusiastic about it: His mother, Pattie Mallette. As noted by Just Jared Jr., commenting under one of the posts Justin published on his IG, Pattie simply added: “Why 😭.” Emphasis on the crying emoji. And, well, that pretty much sums up the “moms and tattoos” universal feeling.

Justin is literally covered in tattoos at this point, including but not limited to: a very awkward portrait of his ex-boo Selena Gomez, “Forever” (which complements his wife Hailey Baldwin’s “Lover” tattoo), a massive stomach eagle, his mom’s literal eyeball, neck wings because he’s an angel, several shout-outs to Jesus, a lion + bear + tiger, a cross with a bleeding planet Earth, a jester, and some casual fish scales. Anyway, Justin has more than 60 tattoos, so, like, welcome to the family!
