Rihanna (a.k.a Riri) continues to impress us with her major accomplishments, which has led her to icon status.

Not only is the singer the most successful artist in the history of Billboard’s Pop Songs Chart, she’s also a huge entrepreneur as well as a humanitarian.

In celebrating Rihanna as a whole, here’s a timeline of all her biggest achievements and most iconic moments- that we can’t get enough of!


1. At just 17 years old, Rihanna’s debut single “Pon de Replay”became an immediate hit in 2005.

2.In May 2006, she scored her first No. 1 single for her debut single “S.O.S.” from Rihanna’s sophomore album, “A Girl Like Me.”

3.”Umbrella” made a huge hit after it was released on March 29, 2007, changing the game for Riri.

4.Riri won her first Grammy in 2008 for best rap/sung collaboration with JayZ for their smash hit “Umbrella.”

5.She collaborated with Drake for the first time in 2010 for “What’s My Name?”- Just months after they sparked romance rumours.

6.Rihanna received her first Grammy nomination for album of the year in 2010 with her fifth studio album “Loud.”

7.On to the big screen! Riri makes her first acting debut with “Battleship” in May 2012.

8.”Unapologetic” became Rihanna’s first No. 1 album, In November 2012. Years later she took home the Grammy for best urban contemporary album in 2014.

10.She received the CFDA Fashion Icon award in 2014.

11.Her first real dip into the fashion world. Rihanna was named the creative director of Puma in 2014. She created her very own design for fitness and training gears.
