It’s already October. And the annual Mariah Carey season is approaching—aka Christmas. With her constant presence during the colder months with the iconic single, “All I Want For Christmas Is You,” this year, Mariah seems to be working on something new for 2020’s holly jolly season!!
On October 9, sharing a photo of what looked to be a production set, Mariah showed off three directors chairs featuring the initials: AG, MC, and JH. Another major hint? Mariah captioned the photo with a single Christmas tree emoji. *Santa scream intensifies*
And as expected, fans are going crazy over the post. “Omg!!!!! Is this going to be Mariah x Ariana x JHud collab?” one fan asked, complete with a crying face emoji. “Ariana Grande, MC, and Jennifer Hudson?! Ahh you’re REALLY blessing us this year,” another person wrote.

As for her possible Christmas elf counterparts, Jennifer and Ariana sadly have not yet updated their social media accounts with any clues. But it wouldn’t be entirely out of the question for Mariah to work on some kind of holiday collaboration. For the 2019 Christmas season, she joined Rickey Thompson in dancing along to her single, and as People notes, Mariah is set to star in a Christmas special later this year via Apple TV. Dubbed Mariah Carey’s Magical Christmas Special, the show is slated to include a number of special guests, and TBQH, Ariana and Jennifer are definitely special.
There’s no word yet on a possible premiere date for the pop star’s Christmas special, but it’s okay though… as long as the trio are set to save the last month of 2020. All good.
