In an announcement on social media account, it has been announced that BTS will be debuting the choreography version of their music video their latest hit single, “Dynamite”. As part of Fortnite’s virtual concert series, it is said that the new video will showcase unseen choreography for “Dynamite”.
Fortnite allows players to play individually or as part of a team with players across the world while staying alive for as long as possible. The launch of the choreography version of the music video will be done via Fortnite’s Party Royale virtual stage, which is accessible via a specially-designed map in the game.
Speaking to NME, BTS shared their hopes for fans to be able to learn the choreography for the song. They stated,
“The choreography is cheerful and crisp and goes well with the song,” said BTS. “The gestures and moves not only bring out the unique personalities and vibes of each member, but it’s also really catchy and easy to learn. As much as we want people to be uplifted by this tune, we hope a lot of people will be able to pick up the dance moves easily and groove away!”
The song is the bands first attempt at a full English song and since its debut in August, BTS has collected accolade after accolade for the hit. Not only did it break the record for the most number of YouTube views in 24 hours (with 100.1million views) it has also landed number one on Billboard’s Hot 100. This marks the first time a Korean group has claimed top spot on the chart.
While releasing an additional video (usually to highlight the choreography of a song) is not new, many are looking forward to the pairing between BTS and Fortnite. In the meantime, catch the original video for ‘Dynamite’ here:
